Dr. Chan grew up in the northeast, splitting time between New York City and New Jersey. She didn't see a dentist until she was seven years old, and unsurprisingly had many cavities that needed to be fixed! After many crowns, fillings, and traumatizing appointments, Dr. Chan dreaded going to the dentist until she met her pediatric dentist. He changed her perspective on dental visits and left such a positive impression on her that she became inspired to be a dentist herself.

Having had unpleasant dental experiences as a result of being unaware about the importance of good oral health, Dr. Chan hopes to educate both patients and parents to focus on preventative care and create a calm, gentle dental home where children can learn how to develop healthy oral habits for a lifetime of dental health and beautiful smiles. Cavities are preventable yet also the most common disease in children, and her goal is to help her community establish good oral health to focus on and succeed in other facets of life.

Dr. Chan graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience, and received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University. She continued to specialize in pediatric dentistry at Columbia University- New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. She continues her commitment to learning and providing the best care possible by taking numerous hours of continuing education courses routinely, and has a particular passion for laser dentistry.

When not in the office, Dr. Chan enjoys spending time with her husband and two rescue pets, riding horses, catching up with friends and family, and exploring the world.
